Naturopathy is harnessing the underutilised benefits of herbs and plant medicine to address health concerns alongside nutrition. Working to fix underlying causes of disease, with a focus on prevention.

Nutritional Medicine

Nutritional requirements change throughout life, and are dependent on gender, genetic profile and lifestyle. Consuming the correct balance of food, vitamins and minerals, can provide the body with the optimal conditions for preventing and healing from disease states. 

A nutrition consultation involves a comprehensive dietary and health history to gain a picture of your overall health. Nutrition treatment plans include dietary and lifestyle recommendations and nutritional supplements (vitamins & minerals), where indicated.

Health fund rebates are available for nutrition consultations depending on your health fund and level of coverage. Please check with your health fund to see if you are covered for nutrition consultations.

Naturopathy

Naturopathy uses a holistic approach taking into consideration the whole person and treats them as an individual. Naturopathy aims to treat the root cause of health concerns, not just the symptoms.

 

Naturopathy treatment utilises dietary and lifestyle changes, and nutritional supplements with the addition of herbal medicine.

Using an evidence-based approach, naturopathy can help with a number of conditions, including:

Mayara Moreira

Clinical Nutritionist

Mayara is a qualified Clinical Nutritionist with over 15 years’ experience. Graduated from Brazil, she possesses a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and Dietetics, being also qualified as a Dietitian.

Mayara gained her qualification and became a Nutritionist Practitioner in Australia joining Australian Traditional Medicine Society since 2019.

Working in various settings, including clinics, hospitals and as a consultant. Mayara is specialized in Clinical Nutrition and Phytotherapy.

Mayara takes a holistic and supportive approach by improving patients' lives and assisting them in making sustainable lifestyle changes by promoting a better relationship with and understanding of food. In her practice, she provides customised dietary plans tailored and  nutrition advice expertise in women`s health, weight loss, gut health (food and allergies intolerance), sports nutrition and pregnancy.
