Dr Jessica Mangala

Jess graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science (2012) and a Master of Chiropractic (2014).

 

Jess began her work at a large multidisciplinary clinic during university and continued practicing for 6 years before taking over her own clinic.

In her practice, Jess uses a variety of chiropractic techniques tailored to people of all ages and stages of life. This includes work from checking the nervous system function and reflexes of babies and assessing posture and strength in adolescents, to helping mothers during and after pregnancy and relieving back and neck pain. 

Overall, Jess’ vision is to provide exceptional client care through her clinical experience and best practice approach.

Yukiko Mika

Remedial Massage Therapist & TCM Practitioner

Japanese born Australian resident Yukiko Mika (TCM Practitioner) is dedicated to bringing the treasures of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Remedial massage with her culture’s approach to treating disease into modern clinical practice in Australia.

She can help with common conditions including pain management and relief from musculoskeletal pain, women's health conditions, digestive problems and assisting overall health and wellbeing. Yukiko is passionate about the benefit of combining Chiropractic Therapy with TCM medicine and Remedial Massage philosophy. Yukiko uses a very gentle and unique needling technique, which will help you feel at ease if acupuncture is new to you.

Clinical Nutritionist

Mayara is a qualified Clinical Nutritionist with over 15 years’ experience. Graduated from Brazil, she possesses a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and Dietetics, being also qualified as a Dietitian.

Mayara gained her qualification and became a Nutritionist Practitioner in Australia joining Australian Traditional Medicine Society since 2019.

Working in various settings, including clinics, hospitals and as a consultant. Mayara is specialized in Clinical Nutrition and Phytotherapy.

Mayara takes a holistic and supportive approach by improving patients' lives and assisting them in making sustainable lifestyle changes by promoting a better relationship with and understanding of food. In her practice, she provides customised dietary plans tailored and  nutrition advice expertise in women`s health, weight loss, gut health (food and allergies intolerance), sports nutrition and pregnancy.

Dr Lucinda Slavin

Chiropractor

Lucinda graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science (1995) and from Macquarie University with a Masters of Chiropractic (1998).

She has been in private practice on the Northern Beaches for the past 26 years, where she is running a practice that focuses on the body’s natural healing mechanisms by working with

the spine, extremities, biomechanics and nervous systems.

Lucinda has also been a lecturer and tutor at Macquarie University for the past 22 years to the 4 th year Chiropractic students, teaching Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. Her background in teaching extends to clinic, as she enjoys educating her patients about their condition, treatment plans and options to achieve their functional goals.

Roxana Bestrin Fuentes

Remedial Massage Therapist & Naturopath

Roxana trained as remedial massage therapist at Randwick TAFE and as a naturopath at Nature Care College. She then achieved a postgraduate certification in evidence-based medicines at the University of Tasmania.

Roxana started massaging at a large chiropractic clinic during her studies, and has continued this service along side her naturopathic practice for over 9 years. She enjoys giving massage as a way to ground and nurture the client, offering the healing power of touch as well as utilising a targeted approach to relieve specific physical complaints. She utilises myofacial release, deep tissue and remedial techniques.

As a naturopath she is specialised in a root-cause resolution approach to assist with neurological conditions, including movement disorders and other associated symptoms. She has a special interest in Lyme disease and co-infections. Her other modalities include herbal medicine, nutrition, flower essences and tissue salts.

Meet Nathan, our Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with over 13 years of clinical excellence in private practice and sports physiotherapy. With a special interest on the lower limb, tendon injuries and rehabilitation following joint and bone injuries, Nathan is dedicated to assisting athletes and active individuals on their journey to optimal health.

Nathan's wealth of experience transcends a single treatment area. Whether you require post-operative care, relief from lower back or neck pain, or alternatives to surgery, Nathan's versatility ensures comprehensive and personalised solutions.

Having worked in diverse landscapes such as collision, field, endurance, and snow sports, Nathan has a deep knowledge of their demands, the injuries that can result and their rehab.

Nathan currently serves as a physiotherapy provider for the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia providing services to the Snowboard Cross team while on the road. 

For almost a decade, Nathan served as the lead physiotherapist for Shute Shield rugby clubs Gordon and Northern Suburbs, showcasing not only his prowess in athlete treatment but also his collaborative spirit with coaches and support staff in high-performance settings. These skills seamlessly transfer to his patient care, where he engages with personal trainers, medical practitioners, and coaches to ensure holistic well-being beyond the physio practice.
